On Thursday 25 April, we sang at the funeral of the late Lady Jeanie, Countess of Canarvon. Lady Jeanie founded the Newbury Spring Festival in 1979 and remained the festival’s patron until her death. SANSARA was invited to perform at the funeral by the festival’s director, Mark Eynon, and we sang during the ceremony held at St Michael’s and All Angels Church in Highclere.

Lady Jeanie was very close friends with the Queen and Her Majesty attended the service, sitting in the front row only a few feet away from the choir. It was an incredible honour for us to perform at the service and in the presence of the Queen.
